Hello, My name is Mahlan Dircksen and I am the owner, founder, and the only person behind Mahlan Media. I started this business around 1 year ago to support myself through college and find a way to give back to the community. Dircksen

How it started: 9 years ago, I began flying drones. I received a drone from my grandma for Christmas. I honed my skills for a few years. At the same time,  I started getting into videography. I made a few cringy YouTube videos (and am still making them) before I started creating videos for family and friends. I realized that I really enjoyed the media industry and decided to pursue it. I started working with Junior Achievement, and soon moved on to creating videos for my school. My journey soon led me to Indiana University where for the past 4 years I have attended a Digital Cinema Academy class. I applied this to my hobby and decided to get my drone license and become certified in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Real Estate Photo and Video. A few weeks later I registered my business as an LLC.​ Dircksen
